So many of us...
Today was a grocery purchasing day and I was blown away by these mushrooms. They remind me of Sylvia Plath's poem about mushrooms taking over the world - they just look so fecund: very 'so many of us'!
Nudgers and shovers
In spite of ourselves.
Our kind multiplies:
We shall by morning
Inherit the earth.
Our foot's in the door.
Sylvia Plath ("Mushrooms")

Yes, I think that's a great compliment, too. =p
ReplyDeleteI love mushrooms!

ReplyDelete(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens; only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
